Together, lets bring the KIDS ROCK & LITTLE PICASSO’S programs to the children of Rio Vista by giving a child the life long gift of Music or Art. The benefits are numerous, children who have the opportunity to study the Arts and Music have an easier time with academics, social skills, discipline, patience, self-esteem, self-expression and creative thinking.

When you support these programs, you will receive a monthly email showing what the child learned during the level you sponsored (see below). Your gift WILL positively change the life of a child and you can enjoy this journey together. We have a list of kids & teens whose parents don’t quite have the budget to provide Art or Music lessons for their child. These kids are patiently waiting for that generous sponsor to give this amazing gift.
Here’s how it works In 5 easy steps

Choose to either GIFT a student for lessons in Art ($85) or Music ($100). Select level 1 thru 5 below

We’ll select a child from our list to receive your 4 week program GIFT.

During the 4 weeks, you’ll receive an email showing their progress, you’ll truly enjoy watching the impact that your generous contribution is providing.

You can choose to keep giving monthly for that student or stop at any time.

Every dollar donated is credited directly to that child’s lessons and is fully tax deductible. Art & Music Center is a Nonprofit 501(c)3 Inc.

Each level is designed to teach the child something they can be proud of, build confidence and continue on their own at home… even after just one 4 week session! Once they have completed the lessons program that you select below, the child will be added back into our system to be selected for more lessons from a different sponsor :)
MUSIC
$120 Level 1 - Music
4 Lessons | 30 mins | 1 a week | 4 weeks
Introduction to the chosen instrument, learning that its fun and NOT overwhelming.
They will learn a few basic fundamentals that will make it easier to begin to play songs.
The child now begins to learn simple songs that the they can relate to, now the fun begins whether they continue to level 2 or not.
$240 Level 2 - Music
8 Lessons | 30 mins | 1 a week | 8 weeks
Now that they have a basic understanding of the instrument, covered a few fundamentals and have learned some songs that are impressing their friends (and themselves)…
It’s time to add a little music theory and a few scales. This provides a base to learning “and playing” more difficult songs. The fun continues…
$360 Level 3 - Music
12 Lessons | 30mins | 1 a week | 12weeks
At 2 months, going on 3, the child will feel very comfortable with the instrument and will exhibit the craving to learn that next cool song.
Along with the fun comes discipline, encouragement and the desire to learn more, at Level 3 they will get into more advance theory and scale work.
$480 Level 4 - Music
16 Lessons | 30mins | 1 a week | 16weeks
At Level 4 the child will have learned several songs! Now it’s time to get into more advanced music reading skills and scale work. This will expand their horizon and begin to play songs they never thought was possible and have fun doing it.
Level 4 will certainly leave them with knowledge to pick up many of their favorite songs and jam with their family and friends.
$600 Level 5 - Music
20 Lessons | 30mins | 1 a week | 20weeks
This is the ULTIMATE GIFT! At Level 5 the child will be impressing everyone with songs, reading music, strumming techniques, finger picking and more.
You will truly enjoy to get a video of the child you sponsored at the end of this level. You will have provided a musical gift that will last a lifetime!
ART
$100 Level 1 - Art
4 Lessons | 2 hrs | 1 a week | 4 weeks
Introduction to basic drawing, shading, light sources, hand eye coordination and perspective.
The child will now begin class demo pencil illustration, to put the basics to paper.
Now that the basic are covered, the child selects his or her own subject to draw. This will be something they’l want to frame and display for sure!
$200 Level 2 - Art
8 Lessons | 2 hrs | 1 a week | 8 weeks
At the tail end of Level 1, the child chose their own subject to draw, well now they get to take that illustration and apply it to canvas!
Break out the oils, it time to start their first painting! In level 2, they will be able to complete their first oil painting.
$300 Level 3 - Art
12 Lessons | 2 hrs | 1 a week | 12 weeks
Now that the first oil painting has been completed, its time to paint the second masterpiece. This will be a bit more advanced in terms of detail and subject. They will also begin color theory, learn to use a variety of brushes as well as brush stroke techniques.
The child will finish their second oil painting within this 4 weeks of level 3.
$400 Level 4 - Art
16 Lessons | 2 hrs | 1 a week | 16 weeks
Now that the first oil painting has been completed, its time to paint the second masterpiece. This will be a bit more advanced in terms of detail and subject. They will also begin color theory, learn to use a variety of brushes as well as brush stroke techniques.
The child will finish their third oil painting within this 4 weeks of level 4.
$500 Level 5 - Art
20 Lessons | 2 hrs | 1 a week | 20 weeks
This is the ULTIMATE GIFT! At Level 5 the child will have completed 4 oil paintings. It’s time to get into portraiture or a more advanced landscape.
You will truly enjoy to receive the photo of the child’s painting at the end of this level. You will have provided a gift of Art that will last a lifetime!
